Better known as just WD, their mandate is to promote the development and diversification of the economy of Western Canada and to advance the interests of the West in national economic policy. WD's Western Canada Business Service Network has over 100 points of service including Community Futures Development Corporations, Women's Enterprise Initiative Organizations, Canada Business Service Centres, Francophone Economic Development Organizations and WD offices. Part of the Canada Business Service Centre Network. CBSCs provide a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations and are there to answer your questions about starting a new business or improving an existing one. The goal of the CBSCs is to provide business people in every part of Canada with access to accurate, timely and relevant information and referrals. The CBSCs reduce the complexity of dealing with various levels of government by serving as a central resource for Canadian business information.
The Ministry of Small Business and Revenue is the lead provincial agency responsible forseizing economic development opportunities that facilitate both investment and job creationthroughout British Columbia.
